Corporate Social Responsibility

Within the framework of the unified corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, which synergizes efforts between national companies and international companies operating under the petroleum sector to serve and develop the local community and achieve sustainable development goals, a project to develop and upgrade the efficiency of Al-Hanafish Basic Education Schools and Al-Alamein Primary and Secondary Schools in the city of Al-Alamein, Matrouh Governorate, was inaugurated. This project was realized through the cooperation between Hamra Oil and IPR companies, the governorate, and the Orman Association. The inauguration was attended by Engineer Hassan El-Senini, Assistant Secretary-General of Matrouh Governorate, Engineer Medhat Shaaban, Assistant Chairman of the Petroleum Authority for CSR, Engineer Mohamed Shehata, Chairman of Hamra Oil Company, Engineer Mohamed Kamal representing IPR Company, Ahmed El-Gendy, Chairman of Orman Association, Major General Mamdouh Shaaban, Director of the Association, Amr Shehata, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Matrouh Governorate, and representatives of the ministry and contributing companies. The development work, which was prepared in collaboration between Hamra Oil and the Orman Association, included upgrading the classrooms, renovating and renewing the bathrooms, concrete works, and internal and external painting. Additionally, the schools were equipped with 35 smart interactive boards and a hologram device to improve the educational process. Football fields with artificial grass and a sports track were also established at Al-Hanafish and Al-Alamein Basic Education Schools. It is worth noting that CSR initiatives are an integral part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy, which always considers the social dimension alongside the economic dimension in the pursuit of achieving sustainable development goals.
